I Quelli were an Italian beat band. Born in 1964 as the 'Black Devils', and soon became the backing band of Gian Pieretti , changing the name in 'I Grifoni'. In 1970 Franco Mussida, Flavio Premoli and Franz Di Cioccio formed progressive rock band Premiata Forneria Marconi in Milan with violinist Mauro Pagani (ex-I Dalton) and bassist Luciano Dovesi who was soon replaced by Giorgio Piazza
